FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Treatments

Do I need a Patch test before getting a treatment?

Yes, with certain treatments you will need to have a patch test. If you have never had the treatment with us before then you need to come in 48 hours before your appointment and have a patch test, even if you have had a patch test or similar treatment done previously in another salon. A patch test takes less than 2 minutes, in which we'll apply a small patch behind your ear. If no irritation occurs, you can come to your appointment as planned. We will contact you in regards to your patch test when you book your appointment.

Microblading is a semi-permanent tattoo procedure which is carried out using a manual blade. We always carry out a consultation before the procedure, including some standard form filling, and a scratch test to ensure you have no allergies to the pigment. During the treatment we'll create the perfect brow shape for your face, ensuring symmetry and that you're happy with the look. Many people ask if this treatment hurts but there is no yes or no answer. Everyone's pain threshold is different, and it may feel uncomfortable and slightly tender. The treatment will need to be topped up 4-6 weeks following your initial procedure.

what is microblading & does it hurt?

how long do anti-wrinkle injections last?

Anti-wrinkle injections can last anywhere between 3-6 months. It's entirely dependent on the individual. Typically we'd say on average they last 4 months.

How long does dermal filler last & does it hurt?

Dermal fillers add volume to areas such as the lips and cheeks and can last anywhere between 6 - 12 months. Again it is dependent on the individual and also where the filler is injected.

what's the difference between classic lash extensions, hybrid & volume 3d lashes?

Classic lashes are simple and natural-looking lash extensions. They are applied on a 1:1 ratio, which means one extension on one natural lash. This allows you to achieve an understated, natural enhancement. Volume eyelash extensions offer you a full, better-than-falsies look that gives you some serious drama. Volume lashes involve applying a “fan” of lash extensions to one lash. Hybrid lashes combines both techniques with a mixture of volume lashes and classic lashes to give you the best of both worlds, and a middle of the road lash look.

Aftercare

Microblading

Proper aftercare for your microblading treatment is essential to achieve the best possible results.  Remember the colour is up to 50% darker straight after the treatment. It will fade after 4 to 7 days and the true colour will not come through until up to 4 weeks after the initial treatment. During the healing process, the colour may seem to have disappeared as the healing skin obscures it. Try not to get your eyebrows wet for at least 3 -4 days following the treatment. Excessive wetness will wash away the pigment if your skin has not healed over properly. - Make sure you wash your hair with your head tilted backwards to stop water running down you face. Do not expose the area to heat or sun, this includes tanning beds - please wait until they are fully healed. Do not itch, pick or rub the area, as the colour could heal unevenly or cause scarring and infection. Try to keep your hair or fringe away from the are for the first 2 days. Exercise and excess sweating should be avoided for the first 10 days. Please do not apply any make up to the are until they are fully healed.

Anti-wrinkle injections can take around 1- 2 weeks for effects to show. With both anti-wrinkle injections and dermal filler, although a short and convenient recovery time, we do advise the following:

Limit alcohol consumption, strenuous exercise, contact with direct sunlight and wearing make up on the area for at least 24 hours following the treatment. Please also avoid having any facial massages for 2 weeks.

The treatments are non-invasive and have little or not impact on your family life. You may sometimes experience slight swelling or bruising but this is completely normal and should subside within a few days.

For best results and to avoid infection, try not to touch the treated area and always ensure your hands are clean. Keep the area hydrated and apply a protective barrier such as vaseline.

ANTI-WRINKLE & DERMAL FILLER INJECTIONS

It's important to look after your lash extensions to ensure you get the best life-span from them. Please avoid getting them wet up to 48 hours after application. Do not use oil based products on your eyes as this will loosen the glue. Try to keep your eyes and lashes clean with an oil-free cleansing products, and brush through your lashes regularly each morning. We recommend to get infills every 2 - 3 weeks.

LASHES

Please remember that this an exfoliation treatment which can leave you with some sensitivity so it's important to follow our aftercare advice. you should know that this is a deep exfoliation treatment. Try to avoid direct sunlight and extreme heat for a few days, and ensure you're always wearing your SPF. Do not use any other exfoliators, scrubs, AHAs for at least a week. Ensure you do apply serums and moisturisers to keep your skin feeling hydrated and soft. As a general rule of thumb for any exfoliating treatment such as microdermabrasion or chemical peels you should follow this same advice. This advice also applies to micro-needling, however we advice using gentle, and vitamin, antioxidant infused skincare products following, to help stimulate the collagen production and skin regeneration. Avoid wearing make up for up to 72 hours after the treatment.
